r>Greetings.
Bought our first motorhome this year - a Talbot Express Highwayman 1988 2.0L petrol, really enjoyable, hope to upgrade in a year or two. Not sure where to try for vehicle spares - Fiat or Peugeot dealers ?.
Particularly need to reduce the excessive gear lever movement ( hits the dash going into 3rd ). I understand its a common problem. I have also seen a reference to 'Defin' gear linkage - is this a 3rd party mod?.
I would appreciate any info.
Regards,
Brian Corbett.

Many thanks for you response Ken.
I have subsequently traced the gear linkage mod manufacturer by persevering with the phone numbers previously published in "Letters".
The firm Delfin Designs have recently moved premises ( Mid August '05 ) Now; Delfin Designs Spettisbury Abbey Farm Tarrant Crawford Blandford Dorset.
Their new 'phone No. available shortly will be 01258 857474.
I have been quoted £200. Plus fitting £45 - there are apparently various specs and settings so it seems worth the extra.
I have arranged to have this carried out soon.
Thanks again,
BC
